A pretty good choice, as there are about 300
million chickens laying eggs in the
US today. The value of these flocks exceed $1 billion. However, this value
can quickly erode if the birds and their eggs make people ill. About 1 in
10,000 eggs in the U.S. supply could contain Salmonella Enteritidis (SE)
bacteria that causes illness if not well cooked. So in 1999, the President's
Council on Food Safety set a goal to eliminate this hazard by 2010.
Eggtech Limited has found a way to meet this goal and produce safe, fresh, tasty
